DavidRabinowitz
Does anyone know of a digital drawing program/software/plugin that would be a good starter for a 10 year old kid.

Thanks....David
Brad_
For Macintosh I like OmniGraffle and iDraw. They're both pretty serious tools, but I think a curious 10 year old who likes to draw can soak in the principles - especially with iDraw (it is also much less in price). www.citysnaps.net
ellis_vener_photography
For the iPad My 11 year old likes the "Paper" app and I like the "Sketch Rolls" app.
Glenn McCreery
About a dozen years ago my daughter liked to draw with Kid Pix software on whatever version of Mac I had at the time. There is a new version of Kid Pix that I am not familiar with, but would be worth checking out.

DavidRabinowitz
what kind of stylus works with idraw and other software mentioned? any kind?
Wouter Willemse
If the Dell is running Windows 8, there is a rather neat app available called Fresh Paint; it's free. It is designed with touchscreens in mind, but it will work with other pointing devices as well (mouse/drawing-tablet like Wacom). Whether it supports pressure sensitivity for a stylus, I'm not sure, though.
Another option is ArtRage - available on any platform, but at a cost, and a bit more serious, so to speak.
richsimmons
Sketchbook Pro from Autodesk. Very good program. versions for iPad and Mac, Android, iPhone and PC. You can use just about any stylus, but if you want pressure sensitivity you need a Adonit Jot, a Wacom Bamboo. There's more out there.
There's also ArtRage.
