Dell 2408WFP vs 2407WFP-HC

<p>Dell is replacing my 2407 with a 2408 under warranty (the USB hub went bad). I note that the 2408 does have the "HC" in its name. </p>

<p>In terms of calibrating a 2408 for photo editing, am I giving anything up relative to the 2407? I'm particularly concerned about the color gamut. Stated differently, is the 2408 just as good (or better) than the predecessor?</p>

<p>If I recall correctly, the gamut increased from the 2407 to the 2408. I have the 2408 and it's a great monitor. Not quite as nice as some of the spendy IPS panels, but still calibrates very well and has a large gamut, close to Adobe RGB and more in some colors.</p>

<p>Input lag is the 2408 weak point. If you are not a gamer, it should not matter.</p>
