frank uhlig
Check the airline's carry-on size limits and you may have to mail your large stuff separately or simply put it into the hold of the plane.
r_h8
Ok. This isn't really a "beginner" question per se, but I have to get on a plane tomorrow with a case of 20x26" prints. I don't want to put them in baggage, because if anything happens to them, my whole reason for taking this trip is messed up (I'm going to portfolio reviews). Has anyone had experience with taking larger portfolios on the plane as carry-on? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance. ellis_vener_photography
If they are already matted, I'd use Federal Express and have them delivered to your hotel. If not matted , carefully roll them up and put them in a heavy PVC tube and carry on .
john tonai
Are you going to SPE? Shipping the portfolio is normally the only way to go. As you mentioned, you don't want to put them in baggage and I don't know of any airlines that would allow a portfolio case that large in the cabin. Just FedEx it to the Hotel in your name and notify the hotel that you are expecting a delivery. They are use to this. Good luck with your review.
