Remember: Limit of three (3) images each week!
Happy Thursday everyone! Sorry for the delay this morning. Been caught up in finals and almost forgot. I'm finally back on the laptop, so I can post a photo or two this week. This photo is from a few weeks ago in Hilton Head, but I haven't posted it yet, so here it is. I hope everyone is having a good December so far; it has been unseasonably warm here. Let's see those photos!

  4. Reddish Egret in a characteristic frenzy, looking for a meal
  5. I'm continuing my experiments with my new EF 40mm f/2.8 and 5Dmk2. I thought I would try some close-up subjects. I'm getting the impression this is the best $150 I've ever spent on camera gear.

  9. Great shots - especially like the baby shot, Dean: really fantastically well controlled light.
I am (I hope) recovering from tennis elbow at the moment, which restricts how much I can wave the 1Ds3 around. Here's another from my friends' band's video shoot. 1Ds3 with 85mm f1.8, ISO 640mm, 1/160s @ f2.5

  11. This is a shot I sold recently.
I've been working on a series of farrier shots as "art" and although I've sold a few, this was my first big sale along with one other. Rather than just plough the takings into general income, my wife and I will be having a weekend away in Florence or Rome.

    'Silhouette In The Fog'
It was very foggy this morning around these parts, so what does a photographer do when the fog has rolled in as thick as pea soup and the visibility is 1/16 of a mile or less? Go out and take photos, of course!
  33. We had a foggy morning here on Sunday and I had a chance to try to get some pictures. I'm still sorting through and processing but here's one from a local park.
    XSi, 18-55 is @ 25mm, f/8, 1/15 s

  37. Lots of great shots... Thank you James for your compliments. I especially like Peter Meade's shot... Well done! I also love Robert's rowing
  38. The Devil cat. This cat seeks attention, then after she has had enough she turns around and bites you. Definite split personality. 5D Mk2 Sigma 24-70 ISO 200 1/400 f/4
  39. This shot ain`t perfect by any means, but I couldn't resist the tongue action. ;-)
Besides, it was the first cheetah I'd ever seen (at the St. Lois Zoo on Oct. 26).
Sorry I haven't been active this fall, but I just started a PhD program (in my early 50s) and, besides having no time, I didn't have decent photo editing software on my new laptop till recently.
    Canon 60D, 55-250mm @ 229mm, 1/160s, f/5.6 & ISO 400.
  40. Stupid iPad... I clicked the confirm button several times because it wasn't doing anything. :/ Can one of the moderators please delete my multiple posts?
  41. More in my running wildlife series, the series running, not the squirrel this time. ;)
  42. Here's the REAL queen of the Bath Christmas parade!
  43. In keeping with the main theme.
  44. In keeping with the main theme.
  45. Great shots again this week. You guys and gals are inspiring.
I especially like the Zion shots, Thom. I don't live very far from Zion, but I still haven't been there with a decent camera.
The wind is usually howling in Maui, but it was strangely calm last weekend, which made it a good day for outdoor flower shots. And a bird. You guys seem to like birds....
  46. Here's one. Shot in Dubai
  47. Incredible shots this week. Shot my first high school basketball games of the season this past weekend.
