nathangardner
Happy Thursday everyone! I know, a little early again, but I now have to wake up even an hour earlier (5:30am) to make it to school by 8:00 due to one of our two major bridges being completely closed for unexpected repairs. Now we have a daily nightmare of traffic to get twice the cars across one bridge. Anyways, enough of my groaning. The internet is out here at home so I am posting from my iPhone to get things going. I will post a photo later in the day. Can't wait to see all those photos!

sarah_fox
I like this thread. danferrin
I was catching the late evening light, photographing herons and deer at the park when my battery died. I swapped it out and put it down on the bench and continued to shoot until it was so dark I figured the ranger would be chasing me out soon. Grabbed my bag and headed out anxious to get home and see what I had. When I got home what I saw was that I didn't have the battery. I don't usually get up real early on Sunday mornings, but had to get back to the park before it rained or someone else claimed the battery. I was happy that I thought to take my camera. This is what greeted me at 7 am Sunday morning.Canon EOS 20D, EF 20mm f2.8, ISO 200, f8, HDR from a series of five shots.

randallfarhy
Shawna Ingraham, driving the #14, is one of the lady drivers that regularly mix it up with the big boys at Wall Stadium Speedway. This is her first season behind the wheel of a race car. While she has yet to win a feature race, she is competitive. (#77 would go on to win this event). A junior in high school, Shawna is 17 years old.

mbkissel
I added a few comments to last week's Thursday thread. I've had a few inquiries about how to find the older threads once they scroll off the Canon forum page. There are probably other ways, but I just click on the current thread. Right below the blue "Welcome to Photonet" banner at the top of this page, you can see the link for all of the past Canon Thursday threads...
Community > Forums > Canon EOS > Thursday EOS Image Threads > Canon Thursday Photo 2011

I was excited to attend the air show at Smith Reynolds Airport in Winston Salem, NC this past weekend. This is always a good show with lots of air action. This year was no exception. One of the reasons I like this show is the lighting; perfect for good in-flight shots. Nice white fluffy clouds and bright blue sky made some great backdrops.

Here is an F-104 Starfighter. bob-c
Well it's fall sports season at my school. Unfortunately, I get paid well by my school to videotape games so it is difficult to shoot as much as I would like with my 7D. But I did get this game on Tuesday. Melvin Snoh is our senior captain and one of the top players in the state. As a result he often gets pulled and tripped, as he did in this play, inside the box, but, of course, it was Melvin so the ref's whistle remained silent. We won 1-0.
