hal_b
Does it ever seem like when a photographer gets ahold of a new camera (like the 7D lately) and posts dozens of pictures trying to determine the faults in the camera's IQ (image quality), that it is often more a reflection of the photographer's IQ than the camera's?
manuel barrera houston,
some people post so those that do not have can see for themselves, I don't think I ever bought a camera for IQ, have bought lens for sharpness and color contrast
KenPapai
I pretty much agree with your premise... also I think it's a sign of two things:

1. Newbie ness (or personal insecurity)
2. Digital Age -- makes pixel peeking so easy now
hal_b
Ken: Thanks. I just wanted to put this up today to get people thinking about the futility of pixel-tests on the new 7D, and especially the 1D Mark IV when it comes out. I also think it is hilariously ironic that the pixel-peepers have chosen "IQ" as the monicker for their incessant testing. (This explanation was really for those out there who can't read sarcasm.)
tasos_sotirakis
It's only natural, people have been doing that for ages. Once you move into a place, you want to make sure that the grass is not any greener anywhere near you - or you can just enjoy your new home, to each their own!

Ken's #2 point is a really good one too.
