ralf_j.
Hello. Does anyone know of another source for 126 film other than Frugal Photographer and the Solaris HG200? There is nothing frugal about the cost of this film here.
I remember getting these at $4.99 per pack from J&C Photo back in 2005; today they cost double and am forced to pay in order to use my beloved Rollei SL26 and my Minolta Autopak 700.
Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.
patrick_mont
I have looked around and I think the frugal photographer is the only option left. There is no company that still produces 126 film.
silverscape
I read on a website somewhere, about a way to modify a 126 catridge so that you can use 35mm film with it. I'll try to find it and post a link. I really want to find out too, because my mom just gave me an old Instamatic camera she had, which uses 126 catridges.

patrick_mont
126 film is really 35mm film loaded in a 126 cartridge. The only diffrence is the perforations on the edges of the film and the size of the frame that is exposed.
ralf_j.
Thanks Patrick and Chris. I have already done the reload of a 126 cartridge, see here:
http://www.photo.net/classic-cameras-forum/00NQOq

The problem is this works well with Instamatic 250 and 500, but I am afraid SL26 requires those darned sprocket holes at the required intervals in order to charge the shutter. I have not tried it yet, but will attempt at some point.
