Mustang 1964 World's Fair

Ok, so here's the deal, I attend a lot of car shows, Mustang Rallies with my father in law (He is a classic Mustang owner) Anyway, as you may or may not know, its tough to shoot cars at a car show as they're usually packed closely together, people milling around, too much sun, etc. I shot this yesterday at a dealership that was hosting over 100 Mustangs for Mustang Day 2022. I used the vignetting tool, to black out the other cars, and various detritus, then a linear gradient from the bottom up to lighten the bottom. I hope the effect worked, as I think the deep red and the cool blue license plate add a beautiful touch. I was really looking for a studio feel, and I tried to not make the editing so obvious, but I did the best I could. Thoughts?

A pretty car that I would like to own. Nice job on editing. I would have preferred including the edges of the front with the full headlights. I appreciate your comment about trying to isolate each car. We have an annual antique and muscle car show every year where I live NJ. I made a video of the slide show that you might like. No real editing of each shot. Only a few were shot by themselves.

I like this photo. Almost everyone has seen untold numbers of photos of, in this case, an early Mustang. Why take the exact same shot as millions have already done across multiple decades?

Reading your post about the shot, I too, go to many moto events and it is indeed often quite difficult to get “clean” photos. You’ve quite nicely “tuned out” that car-show vibe with some thoughtful editing.

Great color too.

Well done!
