Leslie Reid
You are invited to upload one or more of your landscape photos and, if you’d like, to accompany your image with some commentary: challenges you faced in making the image? your intent for the image? settings? post-processing decisions? why you did what you did? the place and time? or an aspect you’d like feedback on? And please feel free to ask questions of others who have posted images or to join the discussion. If you don’t feel like using words, that’s OK too—unaccompanied images (or unaccompanied words, for that matter) are also very much welcomed. As for the technicalities, the usual forum guidelines apply: files < 1 MB; image size <1000 px maximum dimension. Looks like I’m still on the weather theme. Last Wednesday we had a bit more excitement in the neighborhood than expected—this is our local river about a quarter-mile from where it’s supposed to be, right at flood peak. The backlit cattle from a couple of weeks ago had been in the pasture to the left, and were now watching the spectacle from a nearby hill. What attracted me to this particular scene was the stark composition, and the challenge was to find a vantage that isolated the road intersection and fences and kept the reflections and fence posts from interfering much with one another. This was #7 of 10 frames, and I selected this one because I liked the angle of view, the balance of dark elements, and the angle of the fence lines.

michaellinder
I shot the photo posted below on March ,'19 while en route to where I stayed for a few days. What you see is in the vicinity of Buffalo, NY. I picked it for this thread due to elements similar to those Leslie mentioned., Edited March 6, 2019 by michaellinder
