jason_withers
So I see that the Super 8 version is now on the B&H site now, but sadly out of stock. So glad to see they have it listed. The earlier version was such a lovely film when projected, I hope this new formula is just as nice. I was shocked at the price though! I hope this will drop if it sells well. glen_h
The Tri-X is $34 and Vision 3 is $35. It seems that Super-8 is expensive. There is a Fomapan double super-8. I am not sure what you do with that. Slit it down, and put it in used Super-8 cartridges? As far as I know, the market is film school students. Compared to the cost of classes, it might be a small extra expense. In 35mm, there is competition from Fuji, maybe Fuji will get back into Super-8, too. It is about twice the film area of 135-36, so it probably won't get down to $15. If you are shooting for scanning, I suspect Vision 3 is the right choice. -- glen
