Update Photo

Nice and useful feature...if it ever works! I have tried using this for several weeks now and have never been able to get it to work. "Most" of the time is shows the upload in progress. After it finishes it says it was successful with a large blueish purple "finished" button to click, which I do. I've tried several different photos, with days or weeks in between attempts, with no success.

Cool! I'll be leaving in a couple days to explore some of our wilderness area near by for a week and a half...Hope that's enough time to get it fixed?! ;)

It wasn't fixed after I got back from that trip over a year ago and to the best of my knowledge never did get fixed. I've given up trying to use the feature. Sadly, it seems to me that anything to do with "photos" takes a backseat to the forums...perhaps we need a name change to Forums.net?

This was reported and acknowledged by senior staff October 18. Hopefully, the issue will be resolved. It was working not all that long ago - I still have a flower photo in my portfolio that I changed from color to monochrome as a test.

Hi Sandy, Hope you had a good Thanksgiving! This feature is still not working. I can only assume there's a gazillion other broken/not work stuff here, that they're working on. I think I'll just go back to deleting old versions of photos and upload the new.

Just went in and tried every trick I know on an upload of my No Words post of this afternoon to switch to a Monochrome version - no luck. Going to back out completely and come back & see what happens - I got it to work not that long ago - the Monochrome flower in the first row of my photos was red until I ran a previous test. Your course of action is probably the best route short term, since there is nothing more I can do than what I have already done. Sorry!

 

Edit: Left PN, Closed the Browser, opened and reloaded, No Joy.

Just to let you know Doug that now this feature worked with me, and all photos were updated successfully!

Failing still for me. I have tried repeatedly to upload a revised and higher quality image and it never loads the newer one. Have tried a dozen times in as many days. Still the old image persists.

The exact same used to happen to me too..

After couple of weeks of trying constantly, suddenly I found the photos updated successfully!

Could be an effort from photo.net team though!

There have been issues based on different hardware / operating systems before - that could be it. I do get the completion button, see the change, leave, come back and it's gone. Glad it works for some.
