paul ron
From my Home page, I try EXPLORE -sort by CATAGORIES. It goes to the galleries and I see the categories but.... SLLLLoooooooooowwwwwwww and...... Click on B&W and it takes me to some page with color pix with no indication of where I am or how I can get out. I try to back out using the back key so I can return to my to my home page, it just ignores me and doesnt move. Seems there is no way to navigate via menu bars to get back to someplace or find anything once it has you in the trap. Why arent menue global and in all screens? One standard menu and some sort of indication of where I am and a way to back out? I have links set up in my browser so I can just go to my home page or anywhere else I like. thats how I get around here lately but its a PITA. Its very frustrating waiting for screens to refresh for every click, and hitting back keys do nothing. Using links has been working but shouldn't all that be built into the software? Perhaps a pop up menu bar at the very top when you hit it with a cursor? come on, you guys should all sit down n get your ps n qs lined up by now! Seems you have different people working on their own sections and no seems to agree on a single constant throughout to make navigating easy for the users. . Stop adding new features till you get the old ones sorted out guys. Im sure this facebook look is an important improvement, but.... is this a photo forum, a social media site or another fancy instacrap picture site? When Im here I forget to look at forums since its so burried under all the glitz and pictures hidden under secret menus somewhere. Can someone explain the game plan of what this site is going to morph into? Are you trying for a facebook look alike? Plan on competeing with Instacrap, or Model Mayhem and get models in here too? whats the plan guys? Let me know so I can hang in there for the final quarter at least knowing our team is going to win CREATE THREAD?... why not a simple POST? Im afraid to click on it since it may take me to somewhere in space again. EDIT BTW I jsut tried to go to my portfolio form here adn the ignore feature is working very well. CLicking on my avatar drops a menu but clicking on anything doesnt take me anywhere. Edited November 18, 2017 by paul ron 1 The more you say, the less people listen. paul ron
I can see how software like this can be an enormous job debugging, but to release it live without beta testing just seemed a bit premature. Im sure paying customers are somewhat annoyed. PhotoNet will be awesome once everything works.. but getting to that point is a slow go I see. There are menus that take you nowhere if you are in a certain place but work fine from other places. On one page my personal page is called the HOME PAGE but in a menu its called MY PROFILE. to get into photo categories is a round about and forget about getting back to where you started from. I am getting familiar with the menu systems the more time I spend here, but its still a job getting around. Oh and I dont think the EDIT time clock is running at the correct speed. IM starting the stop watch NOW! The more you say, the less people listen.

Norma Desmond
The clock is totally screwed up. Just now, on my iPhone, in the forum list, the clock said the last entry in Street was 3 minutes ago. So I clicked to see the newest post and the Street list shows me the last post was made 55 minutes ago, which I had already read. We didn't need dialogue. We had faces! paul ron
Ive also done some other tests and found if you leave for a few minutes and come back the 15 minutes expired. So to say we have 15 minutes to edit is stretching it. Almost every forum I am on has no limit (or at least give you the day) on edits and in fact have now included DELETE POST with their new software updates. and yes I do remember when PN had no edits back in the dark days, didnt even have BB codes and wrote in plain text. But times have changed... so why not PNs new software let users have some time to go look up info and get back to the post later, maybe that evening? If it is going to change the dynamics of the conversation, and there are many other posts below, common sense says not to go back and post with edits. Aren't we adults here? anyway... i hope the bugs get worked out so PN can be great again. There aren't many good photo forums out there, this has always been one of the top 2. Lets keep it that way? 3:13pm nyc and it already says Ive used up 7 min even though I posted exactly 10 seconds ago. 3:20 it says 13min 3:20 it now says 14 min Edited November 26, 2017 by paul ron The more you say, the less people listen.
