India birds ID

I was recently in India and took photos of about 108 different types of birds. I am not a birder per se, more of a photographer of birds. Between some Indian bird sites and a program for id'ng birds in India, called Internet of Birds,. I have managed to identify 68 of them. The rest are at the link below If anyone can identify some of them it would be appreciated.

I id'd many of them. But without you putting numbers next to each picture it isn't easy to link the names with the shot. Yeah, like, the one with feathers and 2 legs is a shrike.

If you open the images on Flickr, at the base of the screen is an unique image identifier. That is what I am in the process of using.

Hope this list is of some help, or at least will enable you to narrow down your search somewhat.

 

DSC_3526 - possibly Greenshank

DSC_3333 - posssibly a Thick-knee

DSC_3337 / DSC_3302 - same species, possibly a wagtail

DSC_3270 - shrike of some kind

DSC_3101 - maybe a Gallinule

DSC_3050 - Rail or Crake of some kind

DSC_2981 - Redstart spp

DSC_2934 - could be a Scimitar Bill, if they occur in India

DSC_2925 - Lesser Whitethroat - pretty sure of this one !

DSC_2922 - maybe Black Redstart (not same as 2981)

DSC_2833 - Ferruginous Duck

DSC_2732 - Little Grebe (I think !)

DSC_2681 - maybe Pink-footed Geese (again, if they occur there)

DSC_2576 - Shoveler of some kind

DSC_2456 - I can see no reason for this not being a Moorhen
