Landrum Kelly
What works or worked is an individual experience for each user. What works in the aggregate of individual opinions is what would interest me if I were running the site. Polls can make remarkably accurate predictions about large populations from small samples, provided that the samples are random. The very capability for making inferences about large populations from small samples is the reason there are marketing polls. How does one market in this day and age without polls? How does one know what the target population wants if one does not ask? --Lannie
Landrum Kelly
I would like one poll to have one question: Do you prefer the new site or the old site? I can almost imagine the results coming back, saying that ninety percent of the respondents want the old site back. I can imagine the management saying, "You can't have that. We have a creative vision that only we can discern. After all, who needs customers' opinions? For that matter, who needs customers? Bah!" Am I being cynical or critical or disrespectful? No, that is what I actually think that I am hearing. I would love to have a poll, if only to find out if I am hearing correctly. --Lannie

andrew_john_chapman
The majority on earth live with poverty & hunger, the majority have one meal a day, perhaps. Previously having photographed my fellow man dying & dead of hunger burned the strongest memories. The majority do not have super bandwidth therefore the totally erronous & bad html of this site creates considerable exclusion. & we're just coming out of the computer sub dark ages, I mean this tool is quite in its infancy, and how else can we build the web but democratically. The late Massive Legendary photographer Leonard Freed said photography is a visual language still in its infancy.
