Photoshoot for a Bridal Shop Advice

Hi,

I have just started expanding my porfolio to offering wedding photography maternity photography and in an attempt to do so, I've offered free photoshoots to bridal shops. They get to keep and use the photos of their wedding dresses being modelled and I get to use them as part of my portfolio.

My main concern is that these will be outdoor shoots, and there's always the possibility for the hem of the dress to become dirty. What, then, should I do about that? Who should be liable and what should be the agreement made before hand in case of dirt on the dress?

Thanks

Seems to me that it should be part of the contract, but since the shop is getting something free, it doesn't seem so much to ask that they accept some liability. That is, for ordinary wear and tear.

I would expect that the shop would send someone along to keep track of dresses, and otherwise make sure things go smoothly. This person should also steer models away from mud puddles.

On the other hand, if you were a direct cause of damage, asking someone to model while standing in a slippery mud puddle, and when the shop owner discouraged it, you should accept some liability. Don't do that.
