It's that time again. Show us what you have been up to with up to 3 images of pure EOS-dom. My contribution is of a Tamarix shrub on the beach in Connecticut.

00ckfX-550287684.jpg.eb21a7a2abbed7ca1ef6f45c8ba469d8.jpg

Mark, that's amazing!
David, the lavender is pretty.
Mine is a 2 in one. Elaphocordyceps ophioglossoides is the long yellow mushroom and it is parasitic on the small dark brown and yellow false truffle, Elaphomyces muricatus. The best way to find the truffle is to find the parasite. I find the parasite yearly, but this was the first time I'd found an intact Elaphomyces. They're good food for squirrels.

00ckhy-550293584.JPG.97603b0d4f7e6817a339ec99aadfd95e.JPG

This is under the heading of "full circle". We stayed in a KOA campground when we first arrived in Tennessee in 2005, and my first shot was of an old barn next door. We were in the same campground in June, 2014 before leaving for Arizona, and the same barn was my last photo in Tennessee...

00cki9-550293684.jpg.71483945bc64acb56084d7904d4982ea.jpg

Sally lightfoot crab (Grapsus grapsus) resting on black volcanic rock of Galapagos. Camouflaged they are not (unless you can only see in the blue end of the spectrum) but they react very quickly and can run fast in any direction. EOS 7D / EF 100-400L at 400mm; 1/250s @ f/5.6 ISO 400.

00ckj4-550295284.jpg.150dbfa0c0d64b2c9c41ac44ec1f0e53.jpg
