If you already have a licensed version, it's to update it for some small changes. Support for some newer V1 series cameras, and a bug fix related to displaying some unusual JPGs. Doesn't look like a must-upgrade situation if you're only a sub-version behind.

Thanks for the heads-up!
With several of the last updates, I have got the idea that CNX2 (and also ViewNX2) have gotten a bit faster and more responsive. In all cases, release notes did not talk about such things. But I guess optimisations are part of the update as well, and not mentioned. Staying up to date with Nikon's software so far proved beneficial, for me anyway.

CNX2 v2.4 is only a very minor update.
I believe Nikon have specifically said that there will be no further major updates to NX2, and definitely no NX3.
I'm wondering whether to prepare to move to another product which I guess will have to be Adobe although I don't like CS5 as much as NX2.

Chris, could you point me to where that came from? I've not heard that from Nikon, and would like to know how that is sourced. Thanks.
