<p>I discovered this site (www.f295.org) not long ago. Interesting posts and information on alternative processes, pinhole (of which I started doing some), etc. Decided to perform the registration, if only to see the posted images at normal size. Filled the online form with required info. Then received an email stating that I "did not meet the requirements". Sent an email to the webmaster asking <em>what</em> were the requirements. Several days later no reply.<br>

Does anyone at pnet know more? Need to wear a long beard? Thank you in advance for relevant information. </p>

I copromized by adding a filter to shunt most fb stuff to another directory.<br>

<p>Which I had postponed (no, really, I actually made a voluntary contribution to FastStone when it was still freeware; note to self: remember Buktus). Now I'm less motivated to drop $15 into the pocket of one Bot only to have another Bot telling me I don't meet the <em>requirements</em>.<br>

Which will not prevent me from pursuing pinhole experiments and starting into cyanotypes... BTW, there is no designated place for alternative processes on PN. Closest would be <a href="../alternative-cameras-forum/">Alternative Cameras & Lenses</a> but no mention of <em>processes</em> in the heading, nor in the posts (too far out?); note that "processes" does not "go without saying"; one may well print a pinhole negative on regular paper, or process a digital image (via an inkjet contact negative) to a saltpaper print. </p>

 

 

<p>Same topic popped up on the APUG forum and there was a response there from the admin of the site, seems that they have a lot of problems with spam lately and thus require you to register with your full name rather than a screen name. I got the same answer as you but I re-registered some time ago but I'm still waiting to be accepted. Do mind that this seems to be a 1 man operation and it might take a while to be accepted.</p>

<p>+1 to Uncle Goose. Yes, it's a one guy site and they get around a 100 spam registrations a day. To go through those quickly enough, having Firstname Lastname usernames makes it much faster. Running my own site, I can sympathize. I don't know if they have any fill-in-the-blank questions in the registrations (haven't been there recently), but filling them in with good responses can help (that's how I ditch a good percentage of spammers).</p>
