So, hopefully, this little fellow escaped the 'big' snooze. At a trip to Morikami Gardens in WPB FL, we found this little owl in trouble, standing in a few inches of water and making only a half-hearted attempt to escape. After one, he fell face down in the mud. A kind soul rescued it (at potentially great risk to herself) and took it to a place where it can recover and grow. Didn't have time to pull up the exif but used my D7000 and 70-200 VR1 + 1.4TC.

00axMY-500691684.jpg.bd4a537539e54f7d862244186e3bbe5c.jpg

Happy October Wednesday, beautiful fall colors!
My D800 is still at Nikon... so still shooting my "backup" UV/IR converted D7000 with filter and custom white balance. Gets to be a bit annoying... lens is 85 mm f1.4 AFS.
Two cousins, a few, grey days ago.

Craftsman style Mantle Clock made of solid black walnut. Joinery includes saddle joints and through mortise and tennon. Finish is polyurethane. The clock face is canvas with a font named Grasshopper. It was printed on an Epson Stylus Photo R2000. The movement is a Hermle model 130-020, 8-day spring-driven movement with a balance escapement and 3 hammer bim-bam chime. It strikes on the hour and half-hour. D700, 60 mm.

00axOE-500707584.jpg.88e4d299a92d218d0acc31896f8684af.jpg

Hello all Nikon lovers,
No snoozing here as these images from a photo shoot on a yacht make it look like we were warping through time. Actually, the yacht wasn't moving very fast, just kept the shutter open for a bit.
Nice entries today. Digging the fall colors. Down here in South Florida the biggest sign of fall is when hundreds of yachts make their way to Ft Lauderdale for the largest boat show in the world, going on this weekend.

00axOl-500713584.jpg.f1c4cb9676f3657352ee926b6d9ab92a.jpg
