Happy Wednesday Everyone!
Nice work, everyone. Catching my eye this week are Jose Curiel (very cool!), Paula Wang (great framing), David Takser (somehow very eerie), Chris Court (perfect timing), John Farrar (love light and composition), Georg S (another well timed shot), and Aguinaldo (as always great landscape).
Maine was the warmest state in the nation AFAIK one day last week - most the Canada geese are still hanging out, as are the ducks. The warmth makes for some great foggy mornings which I live.

00Zhrd-422431584.jpg.54365bafac44b127033bc3c45ac673fc.jpg

On a recent motorcycle trip to New Mexico and Arizona. Stella!, my trusty steed, at The Painted Desert.
D700 with 16-35 Nikkor @1/400 f 7.1 ISO 200 35mm and it was windy and cold.
The Tiger shots; how a'propos, since my Tigers, The LSU variety, are Number One! Geaux Tigers

Wow! Fabulous pictures this week. My favorites (and it was particularly tough this time):
Lorne's tiger
Simon's fishermen landscape
David's geese in flight
Chris's volleyball action shot - Wow!
John's mountain landscape
and Ben's Maine landscape

My 5 year old discovered our kettle makes interesting reflections. I just had time to grab the camera.......

00Zhun-422479584.jpg.be819478f35d1dfd7c13a5d9e11c7e7e.jpg

Wow, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by the feedback on my photo this week. Thanks to everyone who commented!

I love this thread - I love having the chance to see everyone's photos. They inspire me and motivate me and make Wednesdays one of the highlights of my week.

Thank you,
Chris

So SFMTA has been testing some of the newly refurbished PCCs for a bit. Apparently the new door mechanisms have been really troublesome (wonder if Sigma made them...). Thought the juxtaposition was neat. With any luck they'll be in service for the World Cup. This one is dressed up in Detroit livery.

For sure -- great images here! I am always jealous that the Nikon forum's POW gets a lot more participation than the EOS one. :(

However, it varies as to who screws up more (by that I mean fumble-fingered posters... "Oops" on many levels kind of stuff). Sometimes we EOS do and then somtimes Nikonistas take the cake.

Regardless, CHEERS!

(Up above -- weird Xmas card shot funny! by Rodger [self portrait?] and awesome hockey bent-stick-action from Todd!)

if you guys would loosen up and allow Canon P&S on you POTW forum

We'd have to rename the forum then since "EOS" implies an SLR. Occasionally a micro-sensor snapper gets in.... ;-)
So, and however, ...what about someone taking the mantel and starting this on the generic digicam forum (the microsensor forum)?

I will likely have Xmas/holiday themed for the next few weeks.

My favs this week:
Paula Wang - Another place for me to visit...some day
Robert Wayt - nice and the water's not too "silky" for my tastes
David Tasker - great post for a great shot
Chris Court - great action shot
Phil Burt - Another (much closer to home) place to visit
Richard Snow - Wait, that's me...
Ben Schaefer - where in Maine is that... (I'm in Maine, too)

Everyone else, great work this week...one of the best Wednesdays I've seen in a long while... Above are just the ones that really stood out to me.

RS
