phil_burt
Very good images today as always.
Today I have a heavily PS'ed image. So I hope that it doesn't break any of the rules. I just wanted to learn some new things and I liked this to start off with. It started off being an afternoon color image of a winding road in the mountains of Pennsylvania.
Phil B
Benton, KY

gej_jones
Greetings to all!
The beautiful lilies are just a fond memory now. Some were captured in photos and others slipped away too soon. Summer is over where we live!
Have a wonderful week!
Gej

imagesbycw
This weekend saw my first NYC visit - lots of pics to process. Very possibly not a typical shot of the city, but a very typical New Yorker ;-) (D200, Tamron 17-50 2.8 - 50 mm 1/40 s @ f 5.6)

ShunCheung
Recall that a few days ago, I posted this video captured with a J1 of a Bollywood flashmob rehearsal: <a href="
They held the event at Union Square in San Francisco last Saturday. Here is an image I captured also with the J1 @ ISO 100 with the 10-30mm/f3.5-5.6 zoom at 13.1mm, f5.6, 1/500 sec. I printed this to an 8.5x11 and it looks quite good. 13mm gives me a lot of depth of field.

don_harper_the_edge
This is a from a wedding earlier this season. Bird's Nest headpieces are so cool to play with.
Great bride and groom.
In contrast I photographed a soldier's viewing at a funeral home prior to burial at Arlington National Cemetery on Friday and than an intimate maternity session on Sunday.
One thing about my job is I never know what's going to be in front of my lens and what kind of emotions I will need to portray.

Don Harper
The Edge

krisheylen
I was on a vacation in my home country, Belgium, this week and visited Brugge, which was beautiful this time of year. I snapped a few hundred pics of the fall colours there, but this one is the sun shining through the painted glass in the Basilica of the Holy Blood.

D90 with Tamron 17-50 f/2.8.

lisae
My parents' church (and the church where I grew up) will be celebrating its centennial in a couple of years. I recently took some photos for their website. After posting some of the pictures on facebook and reminiscing with my friends, I met a couple of them at the church for a "tour" last week. We had a great time roaming this huge building, and I took a few pictures along the way.

Phil Burt, I love your road picture.

david_l3
Walking the neighborhood on Sunday I remarked that the puppy was cute and asked the man if I could take their picture. He said they are hometown Baltimore Ravens fans, and happily agreed to be photographed. He asked for a copy when I could get around to it. Seeing the good shots on my D7000 I hurried home only a block away, then quickly downloaded and made an 8.5x11 print. I walked back up the street and the man was very gracious and overjoyed to receive a print of himself and his puppy. We became friends and it was nice to have a positive experience with my camera.

purplealien
Happy Wednesday everyone! My favorites this week are:
Jeannean's bird in flight
David's horses
Richard's portrait
Prasun's woodland landscape
Phil's road - I don't mind the heavy PSing
and Simon's portrait

On Saturday I took the camera down to Brighton to photograph the annual zombie parade. About 4,000 turned out, and this young lady was one of my favorites. She had a perfect vacant stare and shuffling walk!
