Happy Wednesday everyone! I really enjoyed the dog pictures this week, especially those by: Matt, Robert, David and Todd. Rick's osprey really grabbed me too, as well as the wonderful portraits by: Lloyd, Panayatis, Juho and Wenshu.

Following the dog theme; here's one of Merlin (our black lab cross) retrieving a piece of driftwood from the sea (for about the 30th time!)

00ZIZ5-396465584.jpg.94331954372a8ed7b202474af995ec80.jpg

So I started my "real" job this week so I am back in the classroom. The rain in the Northeast is limiting my chances to go out and create photos so I will go to my vacation photos. This one comes from a Gator farm. Saw this one gator floating towards us. I had my 60mm micro lense on my D300. I love the detail. I converted using lightroom 3.0

00ZIaE-396487584.jpg.6d5e3f1d08cbb3cf2527cf59e18bf69b.jpg

My entry this week is more of a snapshot. My kiddo's first day of school...Eleanor is in 4th grade and Braeden is in Kindergarten *sigh* The house is so quiet. I have spent some quality time going through archived photos and deciding on whether I need a photo or not. Should take the entire school year to complete this task ;) Last night I had a dream, or more a nightmare, that my external hard drive melted...talk about frightening. Hope you all had a great Wednesday.

00ZIcN-396525584.jpg.253a4a20b66897935495d007b60505d8.jpg

This week I have been rediscovering my 85/1.4AiS which, at a first glance, I don`t liked so much... it took several days to make me more confortable with it, learning how it works. The glare issue, which I like a lot on the 35/1.4AiS, is also the special character of this lens. I think I`ll give it a second chance; it has an interesting potential.

Here is used wide open on the D700 @ 200ISO, 1/4000sec.
