website template?

<p>I'm interested in building a new website.. I'd like something simple with large photo's or full screen, I've seen some templates out there but I don't understand the pricing structure. Does anyone have any recommendations or info?</p>

 

A few things I would like in a new sight are:

large images/fill the whole screen

ability to be viewed on the iphone/droid etc

facebook like button

contact me page with a fill in

Optional/ a way to upload a gallery of images from a particular shoot for clients to login to and view/buy images.. (this may be too complicated?)<br />

This one looks great/simple and fills the page with the image but I don't understand the pricing structure and if it will be easy enough for me to put together. <br />

<p>I had a look at al 3, I like the getparade the best, I chose even my own design.<br>

However, dont feel like paying montly... I have my regostered domain for 3 years now, just cant finish retouch my own pictures for teh web... however, one of their designs is really cool, simple, may be U can search more, somwhere else and buy a template... </p>

 

<p>Buying a template is one thing. Paying someone to host your site is another. You need to separate them.</p>

<p>There are lots of templates available for you to install on your site once it's hosted by someone. I use Powweb.com to host 3 sites and have been very happy with their service.</p>

<p>I started my first photo site with a template from allwebco-templates.com. It was pretty easy to get set up, but did require learning how to use FTP, and do a little HTML editing. You'll need these skills sooner or later anyway, so you're better off learning them from the beginning.</p>

<p>I had a professional designer design my most recent two sites, and it makes a real difference in look and feel.</p>

<p>I'm on bludomian. no complaints, good service. host with them as well even though i could get it cheaper elsewhere. I thought that would cut out some problems. Very easy to get online with. one thing though if you want to insert links in your website you need to copy and paste the link to bludomain support. things like google analyitics. no problems there though.<br>

<p>Thanks for all the info, I'll do a little more research and see what I come up with.</p>

<p>In my opinion photographer's website have to be non-flash (or flex) based. My current website is flash template from ActiveDen and I am changing it to HTML one so that it's viewable on mobile phones and ipads etc... just a thought.</p>
