Nikon Wednesday 2011: #24

<p>Greetings from the depths of northern Ontario.<br>

This is Harry 'at the limits'. By that, I mean that of the D90 camera and Sigma 85 f/1.4 lens. However, Harry's 13 weeks old and constantly testing our limits. They grow so fast. His weight has increased 57% in 4 weeks. He's on track to being a 'normal' Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Full of beans.</p><div></div>

<p>Got a couple of shots of some people enjoying the wind and water off Anna Marie Island, Florida, it was a beautiful day for the beach.</p><div></div>

<p>Last month, I was at Mindo Loma, Ecuador and saw this violet-tailed sylph hummingbird.</p>

<p>Jon, photo.net's software was updated a few months ago. Currently, if either the height or width of you attached image exceeds 700 pixels, that image will appear as a link. Previously, only the width was checked.</p>

<p>Last month I went to Joshua Tree National Park and the easter Sierra, shooting digital, 35mm film, and 645MF film. It took me several weeks to slog through it all, in particular scanning the film. But, I love the colors I get with film. Here's a Fuji Velvia50 shot in Joshua Tree taken with my Nikon F100 and Nikkor 28-70 AF/S lens.</p><div></div>

This bride and her groom were a lot of fun on a very event packed day including a session on the<br />Washington Mall before the ceremony. This was on the only nice day during the cherry blossom festival.<br>

<p>We've settled into our usual summer weather pattern here in north Texas - hot - so I'm spending more time around the house and indoors. I'm going to get very tired of the confinement in a couple of weeks, but for now I'm using it as an opportunity to think creatively. This is a sunflower growing against the wall of our house, converted to B/W in Lightroom. </p><div></div>

<p>Missed last weeks thread and haven't shot anything worthwhile in weeks, been way too busy with work. Here is a shot I took at a friends party about two weeks ago.</p>
