Nikon Wednesday Pic 2011: #7

<p>Wow, some very impressive shots! Matt, I'm jealous of your Westminster experience. Bet it was one to be remembered! I don't like taking pictures of common flies very much, but this was about all I found this past week and need the practice using my Tamron 60mm/36mm Kenko extension tube/SB 600 diffused off camera bracket set up. Two stacked images in CS5.</p>

<p>Nice pix so fare. Here is another one from my Western Canada trip. Post done in LR 3.3. I added the 'Old Polar" filter to this one. Makes the trees pop out and look almost summer like even though this pic was taken in the dead of winter.</p><div></div>

<p>My favorite time to take photographs is right after a big storm. We had a big blizzard two weeks ago and I couldn't make it to work so I spent half the day walking around the lakefront blasting away and having fun.</p><div></div>

<p>Okay, so here is mine for the week. It is of my daughter Hailey...I shot a series with both her and my son, but this is my favorite from the series (not the highest rated in the critique forum but my personal favorite) Shot with my Nikon D700 - all natural light on my living room couch.</p><div></div>

<p> Although snow and ice are starting to make that tinkling melt sound in the downspouts, my head's still in a southern place. In this instance, among the Bougainvillea and Hibiscus well able to "blow" my red channel, I found this very delicate violet hue.<br>
