trouble uploading

<p>I have updated my Java, Flash and Shock Wave since I was unsure what the problem was. The single upload works fine. It is the multiple upload that I was trying to use. Does it matter that I am using Firefox?</p>

<p>I too had problems Josh. Tried the basic single image uploader and no issues. Screenie from the Java uploader. I'm on Firefox 3.6.10, Win Vista 64 this morning if that makes any difference.</p>

<p>Okay, I'll have Jin look into it. Perhaps there is some update from Aurigma that we are unaware of.</p>

<p>After testing, the confusing part is that it is working fine for me on Firefox on my mac. So I'm not sure where the issue is.</p>

<p>Can you guys check and see if the uploader works for you with IE or another browser if you have a minute to test?</p>

<p>Michael, thanks for the screenshot. Can you click on More Information on that dialog and see if that provides some more detail?</p>

<p>Jin:<br /><br />Still the same problem here using Firefox. I think NoScript is blocking the uploader even though I've "allowed" photo.net. <br /><br />IE works though after allowing the uploader to be installed.</p>

<p>I've made another tweak today that may resolve the issue. Please let me know if it helped, or not.</p>

This is my initial try... but it seems as if something is wrong. I do not find the "information bar" where I am told to be able to find the installation programme which should enable me to upload images. Your assistance would be very much appreciated.<br>

<p>Paul, I'm going to look into your issues again. Can you try a few things for me? If you have another browser installed, please see if it does or does not work from there, and let me know the browser and version. Can you also try hitting shift-reload on the add photo screen, and try clearing your cache as well? I'll continue to investigate and let you know if I come up with anything.</p>

The only browser I use is Firefox because I have had some serious problems with IE. I tried the cache-clearing reload with no changes. Thanks for your help.</p>

<p>The issue being discussed here is related to the gallery uploading, not to attaching an image to a forum post. That is a different system. If you are having issues with it, please make a new help forum thread.</p>

<p>Paul, try two more things for me:<br>

When you get that error message you've reported above, in that console window, type "x" to "clear classloader cache".<br>

Secondly, try visiting http://www.photo.net/photodb/Scripts/ImageUploader6.jar and let me know what happens. You should be prompted to download a file or something similar.</p>

<p>One more thing to try: on Windows, go to the Start menu, then Control Panel -> Java Plug-in. Click the Cache tab, and click "clear" to clear all cached applets.</p>

<p>Aha, there is your problem. <strong>Removed by HIPS FW</strong> indicates that some firewall someone is running is not allowing the Java code to be downloaded to your browser. You have to either configure the firewall to allow .jar files through from photo.net, or request that it be configured for you if it is not under your control. If this is not feasible, I'm afraid there is nothing we can do from our end.</p>
