andylynn
Is that actually "Lomography"? It's in focus and the color looks pretty reasonable. I'm also concerned that your lens seems to be working correctly.
jsc1
"Ha. Ha. Ha."
What is "lomography?"
I prefocused. I used AI. I put the camera on a nearby chair. I bracketed exposure.
This image makes me smile. So, I share it.
It was captured by chance...

JDMvW
I don't think that the element of technical randomness and unexpected results is strong enough here for this to pass as Lomography™, which by the way is trademarked (link ).

There has to be at least the possibility of weird lens distortions, random light leaks, bad focus, and a whole slew of other things to be Lomography™, although I'll grant that you've managed to make a simple snapshot with a sophisticated piece of equipment.
frank_horn
Josiah-
Are you please with the results of this lens when focused at infinity?
jsc1
The performance of the Elmar 90/4 when focused at infinity depends a lot on the aperture. Wide-open, the Elmar is soft and unsuitable for me for anything other than foggy, snowy, rainy landscapes. It does sharpen up at smaller apertures and I like the results at f/8. I'm certain that the AA Summicron 90/2 would be sharper.
Here is a photo I took yesterday with a Leica M9 and Elmar 90/4 @ f/8 and ISO 160. It is full-frame and 'bracketed' +1/0/-1 so I did adjust the exposure.
It seems kind of fruitless to submit a little jpeg photo in reply to question but maybe you will find it useful.

frank_horn
Josiah-- Yes, the jpeg is useful and I'm sure a most any other current Leica 90 would be a bit sharper at infinity.
OK-- how do you like the lens at, say, 1-3 meters?
