Ms. Judd and Ms. Ryman
Thank you for your kind word of encouragment. I now find myself thinking of Wednesday whenever I lift my camera to my eye. I say to myself "is this a Wed pic worthy composition"
Thank you all for making me think about the creative side of my photography; instead of just taking pictures.

Thank you guys, for your nice comments!
Paul V: Yes, she, my wife, and I really appreciate these competitions. After all, we drive her to practice 3-4 times each week, so I have no problems with my spare time. I have no spare time! :)
Jeannean: She is really a beauty - in my very objective opinion. In case my wife happens to google this thread: my daughter clearly has the looks and the dance talents from my wife ! :D
Lil: The competitions are rather fun, and I use the opportunity to take photos. There are not so many fathers there, and they are all taking pictures, as the mothers of competitors are the most crazy part of them all, screaming and howling along with the other competitors and friends of the dancers. I have learned to bring ear protection - a must in a well equipped camera bag at these venues! ;)

Joseph: Thank you. It always is a challenge to take photos in low light sports arenas. The shutter speed needs to be fast, and even with ISO 3200 and Hi-1, there is not so much light to let the lens find its "sweet spot" regarding aperture. If I only could afford a D700!

Mark L: This shot was made in Norway.

These wednesday threads gets harder and harder to participate in - there are so many marvellous images here, and I don't find my photos worthy of this competition. I have to learn that this is a thread to enjoy, and not neccessarily to "win".

This week, these images found a special place in my heart:
Chris C - every week an astounding photo - how do you manage?
Darko - your image made me remember my dog - passing away 30 years ago. He looked out of the window precisely the same way. Thank you.
Hamish - A part of Norway I unfortunately seldom visit. Thank you for reminding me.
Rene: Lovely colours
Jens: Lovely foggy image. From our neighbouring Denmark?
David L: Very nice.
Charles B: Nice colors and action!
Aaron: Very impressive portrait! I would not like to meet that guy in a dark back alley!

Really looking forward to tomorrow!

Before Shun closes this thread,
the pressure on Jose (Angel) must be tremendous, knowing that a world of photo.netters is waiting his opening post on Wednesdays. If you were to go on a holiday, or get sick, Jose, do you have any backup? Maybe Shun, Lex or any other of the admins could be such a backup person?
