pengkui_luo
Two weeks ago I sent a roll of Kodachrome 64 (24 exp) with an old PK20 mailer to Dwaynes. I received the developed film today, but also found a small sheet in the envelop:

"Dear Customer: We are very sorry to inform you that, effective immediately, Kodak will no longer honor any expired KODAK Pre-paid Processing Mailers. We will continue to accept unexpired KODAK Procesing Mailers for KODACHROME and EKTACHROME Films through December 31, 2009. After that date, Kodak will no longer honor prepaid processing mailers of any kind...."

Did anybody receive the same sheet like me?

PS: I later confirmed the news by checking Kodak Help Center:
http://tinyurl.com/mv7o4u

Can anybody tell me how to tell expired mailers from unexpired ones? I can't find any expiration date printed on my mailers....
blake_abbott
It's been years since I used a Kodak mailer, but...isn't the PK20 for a 20-exposure roll (before they changed to 24 exposure rolls)?
If so (and I'm not remembering incorrectly), that would probably make the PK20 "expired".
User_502260
This is an old subject. I was finally able to get Kodak to exchange my dated mailers for a quantity of new film. To save on processing costs for E6 films you can still buy the Fuji slide mailers (which go to Dwayne's) for about $4.95 ea. The only problem is that the Fuji mailers are only good until the end of this year. I bought 10 of these mailers at Unique Photo on Friday.

don_coppola
Re: Fuji mailers. I emailed Dwaynes today & was told Fuji is not ending honoring mailers @ the end of this year. Instead they are dating the mailers to keep people from stockpiling them. I talked to a Fuji rep here in the USA & he also said he has no knowledge of them ending the mailers. As to kodachrome, they will not have the chemistry available after 12/2010.
