tom_spalding
I spent 15 minutes drafting a response to a forum participant. Stupidly, I guess, I hit the "Notify me of reponses" link before hitting the "submit" button. Bam! There went 15 minutes of my life down the drain. It is not at all obvious from the screen layout that this will happen. If you can't prevent this effect, please at least warn responders to submit before asking to be notified of responses! peter_mounier
I agree. It's kind of clunky. Maybe the "notify me" should be a check box on the "confirm" page. Peter
joshroot
<i>"Maybe the "notify me" should be a check box on the "confirm" page."</i> <p> That does nothing to help those who are not making replies who want to be notified of responses. <p> I'm sorry that you lost your submission. But this is probably the 2nd complaint I have see about this ever. So it's not real high on our list of things to worry about. Also, if your browser deleted your typed response after you clicked "back" that probably means that your browser's cache is full. Which is a user-side thing, not a server-side one. jwallphoto
I never complained about it, but it's still clunky.
