richard_cochran
Assuming it's film and not digital capture, it's definitely color film.
Beyond that, it could be almost anything. It's not oversaturated, so any of the color negative films popularly used by wedding and portrait photographers could achieve this look without much manipulation at all.
The lighting plays a big role in the look of the photo. It's a single small-to-medium sized source, directly over the camera and perhaps slightly in front of the camera.
sauerwine
If I wanted to attempt this shot in film, I'd use Agfa color negative in 200-400. The grain isn't as tight but if you've never tried it, do so for an experiment like this. I found it very color correct without a load of saturation- I believe less than Kodak pro films. If you can't find Agfa around, check for department store films. The ones that read "Made in Germany" are made by Agfa.
joey_lawrence
Thanks for the answers. Is Agfa color also available in medium format?
larrydressler
I would try Porta 160 NC Agfa is long gone except on EBAY.
john_shriver
Could be retained silver -- not fully bleached. But most likely digital manipulation.
