atlatling
Does photo.net really know how bad some of these flashing ads are. A person cannot even read the posted comments with all of that visual noise distraction. I don't know about the rest of you, but I would NEVER (not ever) buy from a company who assults and insults me in this way. Surely Photo.net can find better clients than these scumbags. Generally, I love advertising, and have studied it but this stuff rates right up there with HEAD-ON apply directly to the forehead. Another disgusting form of assult. afs760bf
You mean you don't want to claim your free phone, Bill? You'd rather talk about photography instead? You don't need any help finding a date? Or a laptop computer - that you can chase for hours? I guess they're just making it exciting for us. jon_doe4
What ads? Seriously, Firefox and adblock haven't seen ANY ads in a long, long time. Makes browsing the internet actually enjoyable.
philg
We are having a terrible time with both Google and Gorilla Nation in getting any ads that are relevant to our readership (which is bad because people like you get annoyed and we end up getting very few $$ because nobody clicks). We have no control over what ads get run. We have been working for weeks to try to do better, but so far we are not succeeding. I think it is possible that we will get some improvement by mid-December. Without the ad revenue, we would have to shut the site down and would not be able to buy the new servers that we need, so we are kind of stuck. Charles_Webster
I would be willing to pay a higher subscription fee for better service and fewer ads. I imagine more than just a few of us feel that way. <Chas>
randall ellis
I used to have Photo.net whitelisted so that I could support the site's ad efforts, but now that they are so agressive, I had to take this site off my whitelist... As soon as things get better, I plan to put it back on the white list. It is important to subscribe when you can, and to do business with the sponsors of website that you visit, but there are times when the ads get too intrusive. I don't block all ads here, but rather block ads that are not related to anything that I need individualy. This means that you see them once, and can block those that are not something that you may be interested in or that is not related to photography. - Randy

mmmee
Ok, I will do a few click throughs. It takes very little time and if it adds to the 'servers' I can do it! I don't see the ads otherwise. Google ads can afford to help us out.
