benblack
Hi, I recently noticed what appears to be a new way of purchasing commissioned photography: www.onrequestimages.com. Basically, its a reverse auction where an assignment is submitted by a client and matched against a database of photographers. After matches are found, five photographers all agree to shoot the assignment and submit their work. The client is then free to purchase a rights managed license to whatever work most closely fits their need (or not!). I was wondering if there are any photographers or creatives out there who have used this service and what they think of it. Thanks
ellis_vener_photography
well it is a bad idea for th photographer. You do all the brain work, you spfront all of the money, you d oall of the grunt work and then you get to hope thqt what you might pay off in a low fee. I think it is a no brainer, but then there certainly seem to be plenty of photographers out there who have an empty cranium.
