john_finch
I'm trying to buy some glycin in the UK at a reasonable price. Anyone have a good source? Rayco is very expensive for Glycin. They say they cannot buy 'photographic glycin' in bulk. It's used in many formulas so I was hoping that someone here might let me know where I might buy it cheap. chris_waller
John, I've always found Rayco very competitive on price so if they can't get it cheap then I doubt anyone can. You could try one of the laboratory chemical suppliers but they would, I expect, be more expensive.
magic1
My understanding is that about the only manufacture of glycin in the world is Photographers' Formulary in Montana. Glycin doesn't store well. They do ship internationally and can be reached at www.photoformulary.com
richard_urmonas
I agree with Steve. Photograhic Glycin (as opposed to non-photographic Glycine) has a short shelf life in dry form. Get it from Photgrapher's Formulary. They claim to make it fresh every 2 weeks. Their prices including shipping are quite reasonable.
