  1. Hey guys, I shoot my F100 all the time and really love it. I just got an SB800 flash for it and I'm a little confused about the modes and how everything works. I've got the SB800 on TTL + BL mode and the F100 is in aperture priority mode. I'm confused as to why the F100 isn't suggesting 1/250 (max sync shutter speed), but instead metering and selecting shutter speeds as if there's no flash on it. Do I have to control the shutter speed myself? Another question is regarding the flash distance on the SB800 screen. As I make my aperture wider and let more light into the lens, the flash seems to become stronger and go much further. Why is this? Sorry for the questions, I'm pretty new to flash photography. Cheers!
  2. Hi guys, Was wondering if anyone had any information on whether autofocus lenses from other mounts (like newer Sony FE lenses etc.) would work when adapted/converted onto a Nikon F100. Cheers.
  3. The Yashica T2 seems to be almost entirely automatic (like the mju II) but with an autofocus distance indicator in the viewfinder. Right now this is the way I'm leaning - anyone got any other suggestions?
  4. Hey guys - Reporting back after getting my hands on an Olympus XA and putting a roll through it. I really don't enjoy trying to manual focus through such a tiny viewfinder, with such an old and dull rangefinder. My first attempt at enjoying a point and shoot was an Olympus mju II, but I didn't like having no idea where it's focusing at all. I got way too many photos back from labs to find that it had completely missed focus on the subject. I think now I want to try something that is basically exactly the Olympus mju II, but with an indicator that gives me an idea of where the autofocus is deciding to focus. Does something like this exist?
  5. Hey guys, Recently decided to sell my Olympus mju ii (stylus epic) as it kept disappointing me with missed focus on obvious subjects. So now I'm in the market for a new point and shoot with some specific requirements: 1. a sharp, fast lens. preferably around 35-40mm focal length. 2. some way to see what focus distance the camera is choosing before I shoot, or a manual focus control. 3. aperture control and aperture priority mode would be amazing also. So far I can only think of cameras like the Contax T2/T3 and Leica Minilux, which are unfortunately out of my budget range. Are there any solid alternatives that haven't skyrocketed price-wise? Cheers!
  6. Alright cheers everyone - Will make sure to lean towards overexposing in future as that seems to be less of an issue. Was my first time doing night-time long exposures so some did turn out a little dark.
  7. Hey guys, I got some 120 film scans back from my local lab recently and there are visible lines in the darker areas on many of the scans (see attached). Does anyone know what the issue is here? Do you know if upgrading to higher quality scans like .tiffs would solve this? Cheers.
  8. Got my scans back, luckily the shots were fine and I got 10.5 shots out of the roll lol. Going to return the body as I got quoted £200+ to repair - they think it's the result of impact damage that has made the winder and counter fall out of sync.
  9. Got it off eventually, thanks though guys. Not sure why it was so difficult, might have been a tight fit because of fresh light seals. Had to use a piece of hard plastic to press down very hard on the switch while I pulled the prism up, that did the trick.
  10. Hey guys, Looking for a Pentax 67ii in near mint/mint condition, ideally in UK or Europe. Must be working perfectly and come with the AE prism. Ideally would come with the newest version of the 105mm 2.4 lens, but I'm flexible on that. Let me know!
  11. Hi, Recently put a regular (non-TTL) prism onto my Pentax 6x7 body and now I cannot get it off at all. The Prism-release buttons on either side seem to be doing nothing when I press them. Anyone got any ideas?
  12. I fired some blank shots with the lens cap on and kept winding and firing until I heard the film fully wound onto the right side. The shot counter got stuck at about 15. Should get the scans back from the lab in the next few days, will update with some info on what's gone on.
  13. Hi guys, I recently got a Pentax 6x7 from ebay. I've been putting my first roll through it and for some reason the winder is continuing past the 10 shots I should get on my 120 film roll. Currently the counter is at about shot 13 - I'm hesitant about opening it up. Any tips? The switch on the side is set to 120 and I'm fairly certain I set the backplate to 120 also. Let me know!
