1.
Hi guys,
I have been shooting 35mm and always tempted to join medium format.
6x7 would be an ideal ratio but size is a problem. I have been looking at the pentax 67and scared by its huge size and weight(which is an important factor because I will be doing a lot of hiking and camping). Mamiys rz67 is also ok but seems it is specialised for portrait rather than landscape. I also looked at 6x6 and the bronica sq-a but worry it's hard to repair as it is a dead brand? Hasselblad of course is out of my reach for the moment. I have zero knowledge in medium format camera so could anyone give me some advice on this? Big thanks in advance!

    Pentax LX

I know it sound kinda odd asking about a film SLR while everyone is talking about the K-1...but yes I am thinking about getting a LX. It has everything I wanted with a SLR. Weather sealed, changeable viewfinder, accurate meter, all in a small package. However I just heard that the LX circuit board is prone to aging and would likely to die in thirty years(which is about now) and is very hard to find parts as Pentax have changed the design of the LX several times. Does anyone has experience with this camera and would you recommend to go ahead? A big thanks in advance!
  3. Hi guys, I just bought a Epson GT-X980 from Japan(equiv. to V850) and found these dust specks inside the machine. They are not on the glass but are on the internal components. The machine is brand new and I am shocked to see the scene. Does any v850 owner know anything about these dust? Are they normal and how to remove them? A big thanks in advance!

  4.
I know it's asked a lot before, I tried the all methods(fresh fixer, extended wash etc.) and none of them worked.
It does't cause any actual problem but just annoying to see.
Does someone ever successfully removed the purple tint off the film base(beside using the Hypo clearing agent)?

  5.
Hi Patrick, how would you time the development in this dilution?

  6.
I used rodinal a while ago but I didn't like the result, it's was a bit too grainy and not very sharp(puching tri-x 2 stops)
So I switched to Xtol, I quite like it at the beginning, its sharp and the grains are much smoother.
But after some while I started to miss rodinal, while Xtol looks perfect it seems lack that kind of punch(like when tmax compared to tri x)
Plus Rodianl has a wayyy longer shelf life of rodinal(I can't really finish the Xtol before it dies) I am thinking to switch back to rodinal.
Does anyone have experience with rodinal in pushing? I remember I used 1+50 for pushing. Or is there better alternative?

  7.
Guys you are missing the point here. My auction is listed as no refund and the only condition that I am obliged to do so is the lens does not fit its description(in this case it's what the buyer claims).
I have to bear both the out and return postage and they are not a small sum of money for the refund. I just want to make sure what he claims is legit. I don't want to lose money just because someone not honouring the term of sale and making false claim.

  8.
***I mentioned the lens is hazy but won't affect the image(from my experience with the lens) in the auction. So it is not about whether the lens is hazy but if it has noticeable impact to the image quality. In this case he claims the image is affected by the haze.
In other words. The buyer is fully aware of the haze and the auction is listed as no refund. Now he says it doesn't match the description because he think the image is very hazy.

I'm totally okay to refund if what he says is true but I can't tell from this image, that's why I'm asking for help.

  9.
Hi guys,
I sold an tokina 20-35 on ebay recently, it is a bit hazy on one of the element but I never spot any problem using it. However the buyer says the images are hazy and he doesn't like it. This is the sample image he gave me.
Does it look like an image from a hazy lens? I have little knowledge on the effect of them but it does;t look like what I have heard about them. Could anyone help?

Thanks in advance!
