  1. I recently bought a Mamiya 360 f6 W, and testing it on a Manfrotto 141RC head I obtained some sharp pictures and some not.

I noticed that King Kong fastening head locking screws and operating with extreme care improved much results. I think this is a good, rather difficult to operate, long lens.

  2. Hi Nick,

thanks for the answer. It's pleasing to me discussing about photography technical questions, and not only shoot & shoot & ....

I share the opinion I presented in the previous message with masters.

In "John Shaw's landscape photography", Amphoto, NY, 1994, at chapter 2, Photographic systems paragraph a very similar exemple can be found.

In my personal technical opinion, only duration affects exposure, so if camera shake is much shorter than steady exposure, much lower will be its visible effect, whatever frequency and amplitude of the shake.

    Greetings.

  3. Camera shake duration that can be produced closing shutter by hand is usually a small fraction of the entire exposure duration. If for instance the exposure lasts 60 secs. and the shake 1/2 sec., the introduced total fuzziness is 1/120 (0.83%) With some care percentage could be even lower.

I always did this way obtaining perfectly sharp pictures.
