I know this has been covered in bits and pieces in other posts, but I'm still trying to get a clear idea of the development of this camera to help me make an intelligent used purchase. Here is what I think I've learned from this and other sources. Please correct me where I am wrong and elaborate from your own knowledge and experience:
There appear to be 4 versions of this camera. The original is from - what? the late 60's? - and was called a "6x7". It did not have MLU. No. 2 would be these original versions with a MLU modification. No. 3 added MLU - what year was this? Were there any other changes? No. 4 is the current model - how is this different from No. 3? At some point the name was changed from "6x7" to "67" - or was it the other way around? Is there a serial number dating system, like the one used by Hasselblad, or some other way to be sure about the age of a particular body? Thanks in advance for all responses.
What's the dif between 6x7 and 67?
