Depends on what you are trying to do with the lens. If I was you and I had the cash I would buy the Nikkor 12-24mmDX f/4G. I miss the wide angle something terrible.

Thanks for the assistance. I haven't a firewire port, nor the firewire cable. I will have to order the firewire cable and upgrade my computer from the sound of things. Very disapointing to know that after forking out all that money Nikon couldn't supply all the cables. Thanks for the help.

After careful review and research I settled on the D1x. Unpacked it
and didn't see any type of cable to hook into my computer. I also
purchased a Lexar 1Gb memory card that included a card reader. I
cannot figure out how to make the card reader work and I'm getting
somewhat frustrated. Is there a USB cable that I am missing? Is there
something that I forgot to purchase? Is the little card reader,
included with the memory card my only hope? I called KEH folks to see
if I had missed something and they assured me that I had not. Help me
Obe-Wan-Kenobi, your my only hope!

If your expanding what are you lacking in your current system? Tough question considering all of the possibilities. For my system I upgraded my lenses one at a time after I figured out what I wanted to do. Before I bought anything I spent many hours reviewing photographers reviews of lenses and reading reviews of professionals. My system ended up consisting of all Nikkor D lenses 24/2.8;50/1.4;105/2.8Micro;80-200/2.8 and a 300/4 along with a Nikon F4s. Your question is something that I figured out over time and as I grew as a photographer.

A couple of years ago I was looking for the caps for my F3HP and got 2 caps from Nikon USA for no charge. They may have stopped doing this but you might want to give them a call.

I would just send them to get processed at the pro-lab and get a contact sheet. Walmart's digital processing doesn't compare to a pro-lab.

I like your website!

I would buy an old OM-1 and 50mm lens and learn the basics of photography and then after a few months or a year make another purchase. My 2 cents.
P.S. OM-1 was the camera and 50mm lens that I bought for 125.00.

I use a F4s and don't have any camera envy because I have learned how to use my camera and don't need any other functions at this time. I wouldn't consider moving up unless there was some major reason. Keep your camera and invest in some top notch lenses and filters.

OM-1 is considered, by some, to be a good camera for Astrophotograhy.
Looking into the manfrotto tracker tripods, like em? Hate em? Anything to watch for?
