What does everyone think? I used my new Olympus 2100uz and then
changed the color to a light blue using a few effects on my computer's
image editing program. -David,

Great picture. I like how you centered the arctic tree with the rays of the sun. -David, Shutterline.com

Well, it's certainly distinctive. The b&w was a good idea for this photo. Did you give him any money? -David, Shutterline.com

I like it, seeing your photo makes me want to shield my eyes from the sun... The spitfires are good, but it would be better if you zoomed in on them a bit. I hope to get some photos of the Navy's Blue Angels as they will be flying in town next week. -David, Shutterline.com

Nice photo, but you should have left us to assume it was taken in the wild. Try finding one of these eagles out in the wilderness, and get something in the background. -David, Shutterline.com

I really like your photo, it does seem in motion when you look at the picture. My only complaint is that it looks a bit grainy, maybe it's just me trying to find something wrong with your otherwise great picture though ;) -David, Shutterline.com

I really like your photo, and the reflection of the autumn trees is also pretty cool. Try experimenting with a slightly shorter exposure time -- see if that makes the waterfall any more realistic looking. Nice job. -David, Shutterline.com

I like it a lot. Could you sharpen the image at all? This seems like a Nike advertisement, that's how much I like it. Also, next time you take a shot like this, take it a fraction of a second earlier so that you will see them going up not down. Good job -David, Shutterline.com

The statue idea is very cool, the lighting of this picture is not. -DS

Instead of telling you "great shot" like everyone else, which of course it is, I need to find something to criticize. I was slightly disappointed that you didn't offer a larger size print, and it seems a little bit grainy. If this was taken with film, then scanned to the computer, try scanning at a higher resolution. I like the driftwood in the foreground, really brings the picture to life. Nice job. -David, Shutterline.com

Great photo, perfect lighting, and yes it does convey a certain sense of travel and destination (at least to me). I wonder if this photo would look better with the airplane window cropped out of it, or if the airplane window frame actually adds to the photo. Maybe you can crop it and post another version, this time without the window? Thanks, and once again, great photo. That definitely belongs on an advertisement for British Airways or something! -David, Shutterline.com

Yes, it is menacing a bit. The girl's head is sort of in a strange position, maybe bring it out into the light a bit more. Also, try darkening and brightening the image to make it look more (or less) scary. Good photo. -David, Shutterline.com

It's not that bad. I like the red background. And, I don't think you can crop it too much more... Maybe a bit less on the left side. -David, Shutterline.com

This photo definitely screams "x-files"... Where was the light coming from? I like it, seems like a promotional poster to one of those new alien sci-fi flicks. ;) -David, Shutterline.com

This photo is simply great! The feet-over-the-edge style scares me, even though it's a black & white photo being shown on a computer screen... Very well done. -David, Shutterline.com

Please check this beginner's photo out, and post
suggestions/criticisms/compliments. It will probably be my last photo
submission for a while. Thanks! -David,

I decided to sit and watch the planes take off from Washington
National Airport today... This was the result. Please actually
provide some feedback on this photo, none of my previous postings
have resulted in any comments. Thank you! -David,

Now I like this photo of yours... I really like the silhouette of the 737 going off into the sunset. I think I'll go to the airport today and take some shots of my own! (will be posted later tonight) -David, Shutterline.com

I like it. The red sky contrasts well with the tree. So a Nikon Coolpix 800 made this? Maybe I should get one... -David, Shutterline.com

A blue apple. I used lens effects on my computer after taking the photo.

Tobias,
I had just taken a bunch of random pictures using my new Oly 2100uz digital camera, and I sat down to my computer. I turned several into black & white photos, and they looked quite nice (I may request a critique on one tomorrow). I turned one photo of my dog into a sepia shot, and it looked interesting as well. When I got to the apple, I tried enlarging the apple and cropping the background. Then I turned it a "midnight blue" color to see what would happen. I was at first terrified, because blue is not a color that you equate with an apple. I decided to request a critique on it and see what other people think. I find it unique, in its own strange way. I may try turning it orange later this evening. -David, Shutterline.com
