"The 100mm has a minimum focusing distance almost 50% greater than the both 90mm & the 80mm, a big plus in terms of versatility. "...or is that lesser??? Man, photography can be confusing!

I agree with the good doctor, the 100mm 2.8 Macro is a superb lense for portraits and many other applications. The 100mm has a minimum focusing distance almost 50% greater than the both 90mm & the 80mm, a big plus in terms of versatility.

Henry, I agree that the lock up on the R6.2 is a goofy set up, but I have been using a very short cable release (4") for a couple of years now and it works well.

Tom,
I expose NP 1600 at both ISO 1600 and ISO 800 depending on the available light situation. At both speeds the results are great...a little contrasty, but I use a diffusion enlarger and can adjust filtration as needed. This is a superb film, as is NP 400. I develop in Xtol 1:1, at 20 degrees C, at 800 for 6.75 minutes, at 1600 for 7.5 minutes. Just like Fazal, I regularly make 11x14 prints that are very pleasing, usually on Ilford FB Warm Tone.

Hi James,
You're going to love developing your own film, it's a big part of the tactile pleasure of photography! In answer to your question:
Wetting agent - Ilford Ilfotol, stop - Ilford Ilfostop,
fixer - Ilford Hypam rapid fixer,
fix hardner - you guessed it, Ilford,
wash aid - Ilford Universal Wash Aid.
Most of the films I use I now develop in Xtol, 1:1, though I have used ID-11 for years previously.
Have fun stumbling around in the dark!

Hello everyone,
Digital Truth lists the development time for NP 1600 rated at ISO
1600 developed in a ID-11 stock solution (1:0) at 20 degrees to be
7.5 minutes, while both the Fuji spec sheet and the ID-11 spec sheet
say 6.5 minutes under the same conditions. Can anyone shed some light
on this contradiction through their own experience?
Thanks so much,
David

FP 4+ developed for 11 minutes at 20 degrees in a 1:1 dilution, the instructions given on the inside of the ID-11 box, has produced very printable negs for me (35mm), dichro/diffusion head.
Happy agitating,
David

I have never used Agfa 25, but I am getting great results enlarged to 11x14 (fine grain, buttery smooth tonality) with Pan F+ in 35mm rated at ISO 25, developed in Perceptol 1:0 for 9 minutes at 20 degrees.
Bon chance,
David

I use Perceptol diluted 1:1, developed for 15m, but the film is exposed at 200. Results are still a little grainy, but this is a quality I like, the tonality is baby bottom smooth.

Thanks to you all for this feedback. John's response seems logical, HP5+ pulls itself as well. I'll let you know how I make out.

If anyone has development times for pulled Neopan 400 (exposed at 200)
I would be grateful form the times and developer info (product, time,
dilution). Thanks!
