Has anyone ever put slide film in a freezer and kept it hard frozen continuously for 15 years? Would it be any good after this long a time or would something be lost? I dont need speculation- just answers from anyone who has used film kept that long in a freezer (not a refrigerator) . I have the opportunity to purchase a large lot of color transparancy film at a good price kept that way. Should I go for it? : Could such film be put back into a deep freeze (mine) and kept the same way or must I use it all once it is out of the sellers freezer. There was a 645 Mamiya 105-210mm zoom lens made during the 1970 s that had a front optic diameter of 77mm. Later the design was changed and ULD( ultra low dispertion) glass was used .The front optic diameter became 58mm. Is there any medium format shooters out there who have used both the older and newer designs? I would like some testiimony as to comparing the merits of both as far as optical performance goes. I have heard a few storys that the older design was better. I am going to purchase this lens and am doing some investigation before I do. Your comments and advice will be appreciated.
