Hello, can someone explain why this roll was so damaged and what are those blue dots? I developed it together with another film and the second was perfect. Since is from a client I ignore if the film was expired, but the owner told me they exposed it more than 1 year ago, is this the cause of this deterioration?

Big issue is the battery, if it wasn't for this i would have owned one it already.

Experimenting with a new (to me) B&W film. Ultrafine Extreme 100, which is rumored to be rebadged Kentmere 100. Definitely cheap. I bulk load, so bought a 100' roll. A 36 exposure exposure roll comes out to $2.25 USD! Pic taken with Canon FP with FL 28/3.5. The film has potential. I need to experiment more with developers.
Kentmere 100 is a very nice film, much better than the Kentmere 400.

I know it is difficult. I know it is expensive. I know it needs care and maintenance. I know it requires knowledge and study. I know it needs patience. But frankly I DON'T CARE. I like shooting film, and as much as there will be film, paper and chemicals available I will continue doing so. I don't want to always rationalize which one is better, more accurate, higher in resolution or quality: if digital or analog. I like shooting analog and I dislike shooting digital, end of the story. I don't find any fun in digital photography. Better doing what makes us happy rather what others recommend us to to or follow. I don't need to follow anyone. ;)

I own a F1 New since many years and I think is one of the finest camera made. Feels great in the hands. All functions are at the right place. Accept common batteries. Tons of accessories. Immense reliability. Go for it, now are very affordable, is the right time to buy it.

Thank you for the explanation... I will go for the nifty fifty/plastic fantastic 50mm 1.4 then, i really need a faster lens becasue for my kind of pictures 400 iso is not enough with a f2.8.

The 50mm f/1.4 is probably the best "nifty fifty". Actually the FD version of the "real", lower aperture,
nifty-50 is even cheaper and is also very good.
Sorry but i don't understand, what is "nifty"?

Thank you guys, I guess I will take a 50mm 1.4 because is 1/10th of price of the 55mm and I am sure will work with all automatisms.

Hello, I am Italian, I live in Asia since long time. I am a passionate analog photographer, I shoot with Leica M system, Canon RF, Canon Fd and some other weird old stuff in medium format. I exclusively shoot BW and I have a lab here in my house where I can develop and print.

Hello everyone,
this is my first post. I have a new F1 Canon with a nice 35mm f2.8, i would like to add a 55mm (i find 50mm too close to 35mm), I wanted to be sure to get a lens which is compatible with the camera, especially if i want the aperture priority working properly. So, is the 55mm f.1.2 FL compatible and working with aperture priority or I have to find some newer version? If i need a newer version can you please recommend which one (since there is the aspherical, the non aspherical with silver ring and the non aspherical all black)?

Thanks a lot, the film was very sticky when i removed from the canister, i suspect was either water damaged or put in a super humid location. The other film loaded in the same tank with same chems was perfect.
