Thank you so much for replying. No, what I meant was, how do you keep the record button pressed down if you are not behind the camera. (I am using tripod). But since I posted I discovered you just press the record button and it records until you press it again. You don't have to hold it down. So I think I am all set. Thanks again.

Hi: I am new to video. I need to make a video of myself talking. No one to help. I am figuring out how to use D810 as a video camera. But is it possible to take a video hands-free so I can be in front of the camera talking while the camera is recording? Thanks.
