LEITZ WETZLAR Aristophot - what is this?

Hi George A number of years ago we took a Nikon extension ring to a repair shop and had him attach it to our leitz aristophot. That allowed us to use a Nikon cameras on our Macro setup. They seemed to be able to attached the extension tub without altering or damaging the aristophot. They gave us back the part with the option to restore it back to the original mount if we wanted to do that. It has worked well. I'm sure there are some leitz fanatics are cringing right now. -
