    thank you so much for your reply, it is relieving to hear someone else's opinion on this issue! I'm resigned on fixing the camera, and I think I will just buy another point-and-shoot camera...

    Hey guys:) I am a beginner and the film camera (Kodak Star Autofocus 35mm) I recently bought seems to be stuck - the film advance button seems to not press all the way and is frequently jammed, and the shutter doesn't work. Is there anyway I can troubleshoot/fix this? Or is my camera a lost hope? Any advice would be appreciated!
