Hello,
This is my first time posting since I haven't been able to find the answer and the tech department at my university were unable to help. I have a Mamiya m645 which I brought off of eBay about a year or two ago. Sometimes when I shoot I get a full 16 images and others I can get as low as 4. I develop the film myself (colour or b&w) and there will be missing frames where the numbers show that the film has exposed.
So I took my camera out on the weekend, I finished shooting 1 film, and started fresh, I took 9 images out on the hills, I wound the film on, the dial said 9, and hadn't used multiple exposure button. I got home and shot some house shots to use the rest of the film.
So I've developed today and the first roll I had a clear 16 images. The second I had frames 1-3 of the hills. Frame 4 was then my home shots, all in all I missed about 6 images (the images which would have been immediately between the exposed frame 3 and 4. No multiple exposures or anything just literally missing frames but no gap in the middle. It left 6 empty spaces at the end of the roll.
Possibly a winding problem where the film isn't always being picked up, even though the dial says so? I know my camera isn't great as it is as the spacing can be slightly different between each image too. This has happened multiple times but seems quite sporadic :(
Wondered if anyone has had this problem before?
Thank you
