  5. Yes, he makes an adapter for the FL 55/1.2. I haven't used his adapter...instead, using the lens on my A7R II with a standard Novoflex FD/FL adapter. Great lens...gives the vaunted Minolta 58/1.2 a run for the money as far as bokeh and sharpness goes (I find the best results at f/2). Here's a link to the Ed Mika page: FL mount – EDMIKA incorporated
  6. Buffalo National River in Arkansas. Spent four days canoeing/camping along the river last week...nice days but extremely cold nights. Shot in RAW with Canon G9X Mk II and processed in Luminar 2018.
  7. Took this shot of Horseshoe Bend in Page, AZ on a very windy day with a storm blowing in. Tripod was of no use, so ended up laying down on my belly and overhanging the edge, with my wife sitting on my legs. Canon 5D at the time with the EF 15mm fisheye lens.

  9. Canon 10D in beautiful condition, converted to B/W infrared by Lifepixel. Excellent condition, includes a now-rare L-bracket by Really Right Stuff. Asking $375.00 CONUS/Paypal only.
  10. Overlooking Omaha Beach along Normandy coast during celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings by Allied troops
  11. I finally upgraded my quite older iMac with a refurbished Mac Pro and its time to reload software, a quite pleasant pastime. I was thinking about "upgrading" to Adobe's Creative Cloud package with Photoshop and Lightroom. The monthly fee is less than $10 USD per month, which isn't too bad considering version upgrades in the past were fairly expensive, and standalone versions are no longer available. I'm currently using Photoshop 5.1 and Lightroom 6 standalone versions. I guess I have two questions before deciding to go with Adobe CC or not. First, can I use the service without having to store my images on Adobe's servers (I'd like to keep them where they are, on my desktop)? Second question is, I have developed about a dozen or so Photoshop Actions over the years, as well as having several plug-ins...can I still use these actions and plugins with a prescription-based program? If not, that tells me to stay with what I've been using.
  12. Haleakala Crater...not the best time of day to shoot, but that's a whole 'nother story. Shot with a Fuji GA645, Kodak Portra scanned on Epson V800
  13. I have an HP scanner that I use for documents set up on my Mac and running Vuescan Pro without any issues. I recently picked up an Epson V800 for scanning 35mm and 120 negatives. On the Epson, I'm using Silverfast Ai and have come to like it. I tried using Vuescan with the Epson for comparative purposes, but haven't been able to "add" the scanner to Vuescan...didn't pursue it any further. You'd think there would be an "Add scanner" option but I haven't found it.
  14. Great lens...been using one on my Sony A7R2 and like the results. The lens can hold its own, even with the Sony sensor.
  15. The Lee holder will take any brand of 105mm polarizer...the Lee tends to vignette quite a bit at wider focal lengths...best option would be a slim 105, but they can get quite pricey. Lee also has a 4x4 square glass circular polarizer that slides into the holder...you can simply rotate the holder to get the desired amount of polarization. One bit of caution...the square polarizer will only "work" as long as you keep the engraved markings on the filter facing the subject...if they're facing you, there's no polarization effect. One other bit of caution...since the filter slides into the holder, you can use it in conjunction with graduated filters. However, in this case, to get proper polarization you'd need to remove the polarizer from the holder, rotate it 90 degrees, and slide back in, which could limit the amount of polarization you'd get. I use this polarizer occasionally, however I do keep multiple round CPL's in various filter sizes...not a fan of step up rings.
  16. Looking through Teardrop Arch in Monument Valley
  17. Cathedral Rock Moonrise - Sedona, AZ Took several trips to finally get this shot, with the help of The Photgrapher's Ephemeris app.
