after reading this thread the following course of action worked for me: had camera in fridge (not freezer) for maybe 30 min; placed right hand in thin dishwasher rubber glove; pressed camera / filter against the flat of the palm and turned entire camera counter-clockwise with the left hand. Miracle. Also getting now to apply pencil graphite on the threads!
