I have a Nikkor 300mm f/4.5 ED-IF AIS lens w/tripod mounting ring and Nikon lens caps in mostly excellent condition. The filter threads are partially stripped, so it can take a lot of finagling to put a filter on. Right now, it has a Nikon 72mm L1Bc skylight filter on it. If you would prefer, I can put a Nikon 72mm Y48 yellow filter (also included with lens) on it and save you the trouble. The lens also includes a large Zing lens pouch. I have a Nikon F2 Photomic for sale that needs repairs. The camera body's film back is often hard to snap shut, and the film rewind button on the base doesn't stay depressed, so you need to hold it in while rewinding film. The camera itself is in close to excellent condition looks-wise. There are several small to hard-to-see dings in the bottom plate. The camera comes with a black Nikon camera strap and generic soft shutter release. The DP-1 meter prism is in excellent condition appearance-wise, but it doesn't meter. The battery check works properly, however. Is it permissible to ask for best offers here? or do I need to set a price? I can't find any guidelines here for ad content. For now, I'm open for offers. Never mind... I figured it out. Lifting up on the battery holder end away from the plug-in end makes the holder pop right out. Takes a little effort to lift it, but it's much better than the screwdriver method.

I just bought 3 Nikon MD-3 motor drives with MB-1 battery packs. The battery packs are what's causing me trouble. Is there an easy way to remove the MS-1 battery holders from the pack. In all 3 battery packs, I had to use a screwdriver to pry the battery holders out. Is there an easier way? The instructions don't say anything about this. Thanks for any help.

I got your message via "conversations," but I didn't see any way to reply. So I'll reply here - glad you're enjoying the F3. I just recently got back into photography after several years absence. I'm enjoying it immensely.

I voted to buy the F2AS and service the F2SB. The saying, "you can never have too many F2's," is true. As for getting F2's serviced, you can try the legendary Sover Wong (Google him). I'm on his waiting list to get an F2 Photomic serviced, both the camera and the DP-1 meter prism. If I recall, fixing the DP-1 will cost slightly less than $100. I can live with that.

Yes, the wait list is lo-o-o-o-ong. I reserved a repair slot with a 20 week wait period. He'll email me when it's time to send the camera in. And I have 5 more F2's I want him to check... Hope I live that long LOL.

I don't like the new format either. Somehow I got logged off, and when I signed in again, I was brought to "My Portfolio" page. I don't have a portfolio here. Also, there was no way to get to the forums. I had to change the url to just plain "photo.net" and refresh the page.
